The Medical Foundation’s Information and Referral (I&R) Services provides professional and compassionate health and human service
information and referrals to people in need, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We establish and manage call centers so that you can be certain your customers or clients are receiving specialized, reliable, and responsive services.
Information and Referral Services can provide your organization with call center management and metrics (such as time of calls, average length of calls), as well as database management. Most important, with our services callers will feel confident they’ve been heard, that they’ve received accurate information, and that they’re on the right track to getting the services they need.

The Massachusetts Substance Abuse Information and Education Helpline
The Massachusetts Substance Abuse Information and Education Helpline provides callers with information about substance abuse, substance abuse treatment options and referrals to treatment and related services. The Helpline also participates in a Bureau of Substance Abuse Services, Care Coordination pilot project that helps guide clients through the treatment sytem by providing a single point of contact for referral to multiple providers.
Mass 211
211 Is the easy to remember three digit telephone number that connects callers to information about critical health and human services across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Mass 211 also serves as the Commonwealth’s primary telephone information call center during times of emergencies.
Women’s Health Network Helpline 
The Women’s Health Network is a free health screening program for women who live in Massachusetts and meet age, income and insurance eligibility guidelines. The toll free line is a program of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and refers qualified women to free breast and cervical screening and diagnostic services at locations across the state.
The Men's Health Partnership
The Men's Health Partnership efforts focus on reducing the burden of prostate cancer and cardiovascular disease among men statewide. The toll free line is a program of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and refers callers to a network of community-based health care organizations.
MassSupport Helpline
The MassSupport Helpline maintains a database of programs and services related to disaster preparation, mitigation, response and recovery. The toll free helpline provides emotonal support and referral to those affected by disaster and trauma.
